The statement continued, “The passengers included 30 male adults. The crash killed two people, injured 20 others, and left eight unhurt.”

According to the statement, preliminary investigations show that the driver lost control due to speeding while approaching the T-Junction and struck another vehicle parked by the roadside.

The statement added that responders brought the victims to Wudil General Hospital for treatment.

It quoted the state commander, who expressed concern about drivers who continue to violate road safety regulations, especially by using trailers to carry passengers.

He stressed that overspeeding and overloading are major causes of road crashes. He urged drivers to strictly obey traffic rules at all times to prevent accidents.

Muhammed-Lawan strongly advised the public never to board trailers or unsafe vehicles, warning that this behaviour puts lives at risk.
