Kwankwaso Backs NDC’s Southern Presidential Ticket for 2027

Abuja: Former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso has thrown his weight behind the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) move to zone its 2027 presidential ticket to the South, calling the decision a step toward balance and national unity.

He stated that this choice represents significant progress for national healing, fairness, and unity, which he believes are essential for Nigeria’s future.

Kwankwaso spoke on Saturday at the party’s national convention in Abuja, where he elaborated on his support for the party.

He said he supports zoning the NDC ticket to the South for unity and solidarity.

He added, “This lets the region complete its turn in leadership.”
