Osogbo:  The Osun State House of Assembly on Wednesday approved the N723 billion 2026 Appropriation Bill, paving the way for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s assent to a fiscal plan that prioritises both recurrent and capital expenditure in driving the state’s development agenda.

The budget, titled “Osun State Appropriation Bill 2026”, was passed after a motion for its third reading was moved by Mr Saheed Fatunmise, House Committee Chairman on Finance and Appropriation, during the plenary session in Osogbo.

The House Committee on Finance and Appropriation adopted the appropriation bill at its plenary on Tuesday.

Mr Adewale Egbedun, the Speaker of the Assembly, said that, after the passage of the budget, clean copies would be forwarded to Gov. Ademola Adeleke for his assent.
