The condolence letter read in part:
“Washington’s life, though cut short, was a testament to his potential and promise. His impending National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in January 2026, consequent upon his graduation from a private university in Lagos, where he studied Information Technology, was a milestone that symbolised his dedication to scholarship and nation-building. His passing is a profound loss to your family, the online publishing community, and the nation at large.”
The Guild further expressed hope that the memories of Washington’s accomplishments and legacy would bring comfort and strength to the bereaved family.
In its message, GOCOP prayed for the repose of Oluwagbenga’s soul and asked for divine protection over Mr. Akinadewo, his wife, and their loved ones during this difficult period.
