Abuja: Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, commended the acting FCDA Executive Secretary, Richard Dauda, for effectively overseeing major infrastructure projects that have improved delivery and raised construction standards.

During an inspection tour, Wike expressed confidence that several landmark projects—including the Court of Appeal Complex and new Judges’ Quarters—will be completed in time for President Tinubu’s third anniversary celebrations.

The projects inspected were the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal Complex and 40 housing units Judges’ Quarters in Katampe.

The Minister also inspected the CN 2 ring road in Katampe District, which extends through the Gishairi area, and the dualisation of the Outer Southern Expressway on the Apo to Wassa road corridor, spanning from Ring Road I in central Abuja to Ring Road II, located in the southern part of the city.

Wike expressed optimism that the projects would be completed and inaugurated by President Bola Tinubu to celebrate his third anniversary.

He explained that the FCDA’s effective supervision of the projects had significantly impacted the contractors’ pace and quality of delivery.

The Minister, who expressed satisfaction with the progress recorded so far, said it wouldn’t have been possible without the FCDA’s due diligence.

“I’m very impressed with what is on the ground so far.

“I am particularly impressed with the way the FCDA has been supervising the various projects to this level. We are very, very happy,” the minister said.
