Kano RAAMP Awards ₦4bn Contracts to Build Logistics Centres

Kano: The Kano State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) has awarded contracts worth over N4 billion for the construction of three agro-logistics centres in the state.

The State Project Coordinator, Mr Ado Jibril, who gave the contracts’ awards notification, said it was another pass mark for the administration’s rural-focused governance.

This is contained in a statement issued to journalists by the Development Communication Officer of RAAMP,  Salisu Babangida, on Tuesday in Kano.

According to him, the present administration is committed to rural transformation and inclusive growth.

“The notification is a significant milestone and a testament to the Governor’s uncommon love for rural communities across the state.

“Rural communities are at the heart of Gov. Abba Yusuf’s development priorities,” Jibril said.

The coordinator said the contractors were selected through a transparent and competitive process, adding that stakeholders were confident in their capacity to deliver quality work.

He urged them to cooperate with the contractors to ensure the smooth execution of the projects in line with approved specifications. Jibri also tasked the supervising consultants to uphold standards and ensure value for public funds.

Earlier, Alhaji Makana Alasan, who spoke on behalf of the contractors, thanked the state government and pledged to deliver quality and timely work in line with global standards.
