Dafinone Stuns Omo-Agege, Clinches APC Delta Central Ticket

Warri, Delta: In the All Progressives Congress (APC) Delta Central senatorial primaries, Senator Ede Dafinone defeated former Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege, receiving 116,252 votes to Omo-Agege’s 3,643. 

The results, announced in Ughelli, drew significant attention in the district, with party officials describing the exercise as peaceful and decisive.

Declaring the results, APC Primary Committee Secretary Nusa Amagbor praised the transparent process, noting Dafinone’s overwhelming mandate. “Having satisfied all requirements and secured the highest valid votes cast, Senator Dafinone is hereby declared the winner,” he affirmed.

In his victory speech, Dafinone expressed gratitude to supporters and encouraged Omo-Agege to work together for the party’s goals in 2027. “This process was open, free, and fair. I thank supporters across Delta Central and call on my brother, Sen. Omo-Agege, to unite with us for victory ahead,” he said.
