Kaduna: The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has cautioned residents to avoid its range area as cadets of the 73 Regular Course stage a Brigade Inter‑Battalion Shooting Competition on Saturday.
The academy’s spokesperson, Maj. Reuben Kovangiya made the announcement in a statement issued on Friday.
Kovangiya advised the public to avoid the shooting range area.
He said, “NDA) wishes to inform the public, especially the inhabitants of Mando,Tsamiya, Kauya, and Afaka general area, that it will be conducting the Cadets Brigade Inter-Battalion shooting competition for Cadets of 73 Regular Course Army.”
According to him, the exercise is to hold on Saturday at the NDA Open Range, Afaka.
“The NDA assures the public that all necessary safety measures have been implemented for the successful conduct of the exercise.
“However, the public is advised to avoid trespassing in the general area throughout the period of the exercise.
